INGREDIENTS FOR VALENTINE'S DAY SPRINKLE COOKIES DOG TREAT RECIPE

2 1/2 Cups whole wheat flour

1/2 Cup dehydrated milk powder

1 Teaspoon brown sugar

6 Tablespoons bacon fat or shortening

1 Egg, beaten

1/2 Cup ice water

8oz. Package cream cheese

2 Strips bacon, cooked and crumbled

DIRECTIONS FOR VALENTINE'S DAY SPRINKLE COOKIES DOG TREAT RECIPE

1. Preheat oven to 350F.
2. Combine flour, dry milk and sugar.
3. Cut in bacon fat until mixture resembles corn meal.
4. Mix in egg.
5. Add enough ice water so that mixture forms a ball.
6. On a well floured surface, roll out the dough to 1/4 inch thickness.
7. Cut into shapes with a heart shaped cookie cutter and place on a well oiled cookie sheet.
8. Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until the cookies are golden brown.
9. After the cookies are completely cooled, frost them with the cream cheese and sprinkle the bacon bits on top.
10. These treats must be refrigerated to keep them from spoiling.
11. TIP- If you don't want the hassle of cookie bacon you can use pre-made bacon bits.
