If you have a dog that is a heavy chewer and constantly is destroying their toys, you’ll love this tutorial. With a few common household objects, you can whip up your own tennis ball tug toy.
Supplies And Tools You Will Need

Hunt up an old dish towel & I’m sure that you have some tennis balls lying around if you own a dog. You need a pair of scissors OR a drill to cut through the ball. I have a pair of hemostats to pull the strips of towel through the ball, it just easier that way. You can also poke them through with a screw driver. You can buy a pair of Hemostat Clamps at Amazon
STEP 1 – Cutting The Tennis Ball

Carefully use the scissors to cut a hole into opposite sides of the tennis ball.
STEP 2 – Cutting The Dish Towel

Cut three 2 inch strips from the dish towel on the long side. Bundle the strips and place a knot at one end of the bundle. Poke the hemostat through both ends of the tennis ball, grasp the end of one of the strips and pull the strip through the holes. repeat this for the other two strips.
STEP 3 – Braiding The Strip Ends

Once all the strips have been pulled through the ball, braid the strips together and tie a knot in the end to keep the strips from unraveling.
The Finished Toy

This is what the toy looks like when it is completed. I think that Jersey knew that I was making a toy for her. The entire time I was making it, she was anxiously looking over my shoulder and whining.
